WRITING PRESS RELEASES THAT WILL BE NOTICED
The 1-day workshop aims to help participants develop right techniques in writing press releases that will capture the attention of editors. Participants will be trained to find the strongest angle for the intro, write creatively and concisely, and avoid common pitfalls such as improper grammar and hyping. Participants will also be introduced to the common formats for press releases and other useful tips such as journalist contacts.
The workshop is suitable for PR officers and supervisors in the government, private sector and non-government organizations. It is also suitable for non-PR officers who are expected to put up the first draft of the press release. Non-PR personnel from organizations which do not have PR departments may also attend to acquire the knowledge so they can double up to perform the task when required.
